The project idea is based on the fact that the quality of the trainers’ and teachers’ innovative practices and methodologies will strongly impact on VET systems’ overall quality and attractiveness. The XXI Trainer Project addresses the urgent need to implement reforms on trainers’ and teachers’ qualification processes in the realm of lifelong learning in order to develop skills and competencies related to new job opportunities, new market needs as well as new target groups.
The partnership has developed a wide range of pedagogical materials and tools considered by teachers and trainers to be ‘very useful for their daily practice’ to enhance effective VET in line with the needs emphasized by the European Commission.
These Methodologies will now be shared among other European partners in their VET teaching and training environments. New pedagogical materials will also be developed and added to the final XXI Trainer toolbox.
Through the exchange of educational practices teachers and trainers will also gain increased social and cultural awareness, improving their competencies in relation to any target group in Europe today.
